What was at stake
The client wanted to make NFT creation accessible to artists and creators who have no blockchain knowledge and no cryptocurrency. Existing marketplaces required wallet setup, gas fee management, and smart contract understanding that excluded 95% of potential creators. Additionally, the marketplace needed to support secondary sales with enforceable royalties — a problem that most platforms had failed to solve — and provide fiat payment options for collectors who were crypto-curious but not crypto-native.
How we delivered
Gasless Minting & Lazy Mint Architecture
Implemented a meta-transaction relay system on Polygon that sponsors gas fees for creators, combined with a lazy minting pattern where NFTs are only committed on-chain at the moment of first purchase. This eliminates upfront costs for creators entirely while maintaining the on-chain provenance guarantees collectors expect.
Customizable Smart Contract Templates
Built a library of audited smart contract templates covering single editions, limited series, generative collections, and dynamic NFTs with upgradeable metadata. Creators configure contracts through a visual builder, and the system deploys verified contracts with built-in royalty enforcement using EIP-2981 and operator filter registries.
Fiat On-Ramp & Payment Infrastructure
Integrated Stripe for fiat payments with automatic crypto settlement, enabling collectors to purchase NFTs with credit cards while creators receive proceeds in their preferred currency. Built custodial wallet infrastructure for non-crypto users with a clear upgrade path to self-custody wallets.
Discovery Engine & Creator Growth Tools
Developed a recommendation engine using TheGraph for on-chain activity indexing and collaborative filtering for taste matching. Built creator analytics dashboards showing collector demographics, secondary market activity, and royalty earnings — alongside promotional tools like featured drops, curated collections, and collector notifications.
